Walter Rodrigues, the stylist and coordinator of the Research and Design Hub at the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Artifacts (Assintecal), has presented the theme of the research that will be materialized in the July edition of INSPIRAMAIS in São Paulo/SP. The presentation of “Human 2026_II” took place on the final day of the event in Porto Alegre/RS, January 22nd.

For the upcoming season, the research is an opposition to “Burnout,” the theme presented in products at the January edition. Instead of the dark colors and somber aesthetic that reflected a time of uncertainty, fears, and wars, the new season’s aesthetic will bring hope for better days. “Hope is the keyword of the research. We’ve divided the theme into two subthemes: one of hope that generates community, with a lot of spontaneity, pop elements, and dance; and another of utopian hope, which, in opposition to the more self-centered and romantic consumer, brings extravagance.” In the pieces, you’ll see materials with a lot of volume, glitter, prints, transparencies, satin fabrics, overlays, mixes of clashing textures, and elastic. “Comfort in adaptable products will also appear in the materials,” he added.

“Explosive Creativity”

The stylist highlighted that this is an explosion of creativity. “We’re tired of more of the same, and this will be reflected in new materials, with playful combinations and a mix of elements,” he said. In the color palette, Rodrigues lists colors like shades of green, blue, and salmon.

Automotive Upholstery

Another highlight of the second day of INSPIRAMAIS was the presentation by automotive upholsterers, who participated in the show for the first time. Emphasizing the importance of integrating the components industry with the automotive segment due to the infinite production options, the professionals showcased a restored Volkswagen Beetle and a motorcycle, both made with materials exhibited at the event. The panel included Cipatex Auto ambassadors Gustavo Araújo of GV Bancos; Leandro Roberto of Leandro Capotaria and Stylos Tapeçaria; industry influencer Nicole Malagueta; Kairon Oliveira of Kairon Race; and Rafael Bonvicine, Product and Marketing Manager of Grupo Cipatex.

The Show

Promoted by Assintecal in partnership with CICB, Abit, and Abimóvel, INSPIRAMAIS is organized by Brazilian Materials and supported by Sebrae Nacional.
