“It was a milestone for the entire industry and it's
been an incredible experience! Virtually enter a Design and Innovation Exhibit

about the global references, hundreds of releases in innovation, sustainability
and design, innovative projects, schedule national and international business
rounds, attend talks, have contact with different companies. There are no
borders, no distance. The whole world passed through here”, Ilse Guimaraes
commemorates, superintendent of Assintecal.
Business estimate
During the three days, Inspiramais´ Design Exhibit carried out the Buyer
Project - business rounds between Brazilian input companies and national and
international industries in the fashion and consumer segments. In all, 300

Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, India, the United States and Bolivia.
A new time for Brazilian Industry
For Fernando Pimentel, president of Abit (Associação Brasileira da Industria Têxtil e de Confecção [Brazilian Association of Textile and Clothing Industry]), has its advantages, as it expands the target audience, reduces costs and facilitates the integration of national and international participants. Of course, it does not replace face-to-face meetings, but at a time where it is difficult to hold events with a large amount of people, it is certainly the best way for us to keep business going", he says. Pimentel also stressed that he is sure that the event will be important for this time we are experiencing. “It can, without a doubt, give rise to businesses that will help companies preserve themselves and, with that, maintain jobs and income for Brazilian society, given that the textile and clothing industry is the second largest employer in the manufacturing industry, with 1.5 million formal jobs playing a part in this economic activity”.
The words of Abit´s president also echoed through the other industry sectors
present at Inspiramais. For José Fernando Bello, executive president of Centro das Indústrias de Curtumes do Brasil [Brazilian
Tannery Industries Center] (CICB) “The leather sector in Brazil is living
Digital Inspiramais intensely, with the certainty that the convergence of the
physical environment with the online one brings positive results for all
audiences, from the industry to the final consumer. We had three days of a very
rich exchange of information and relationships at Digital Inspiramais, with a
lot of innovation, agility and sustainability”.
According to Maristela
Cusin Longhi, President of Abimóvel. “Inspiramais is effectively where fashion
and chains come together. The work carried out by the intelligence and
commercial area, the rich material resulting from research and studies, the
socioeconomic, cultural, global and consumer behavior aspects in the world are
also an important consultation source for the furniture sector. Our goal
is to integrate and add value between the chains and their links, enabling a
greater connection between the furniture and fashion industries, through the
use of different materials, design and innovation. As concrete demonstration, in each
edition of the Exhibit - mainly in the last two years -, over 1,000 types of
materials were presented, whose convergence with the furniture industry is
evident, such as the raw materials of the textile and leather industry.
Therefore, research, inputs, actions presented and the alliance between sectors
bring new perspectives and a new outlook to the industry”.
Fashion
Mirrored in vast research material developed
by a highly qualified group of design professionals, coordinated by Walter
Rodrigues, one of the most recognized names in Brazilian fashion, the event presented
a series of projects and solutions in sustainable products, innovative designs
and innovation and technology solutions.
All this information makes INSPIRAMAIS
a great source of references for fashion designers from many countries,
receiving participation of professionals and companies from Mexico, Peru,
Ecuador, the United States, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Italy, France,
England and Asian countries and from the African continent.
“This edition is not just a platform, it is a change of behavior in facing the
technological future. The future of the industry is hybrid and is redesigning
the entire industry. Fashion had been flirting with this virtual path for quite
some time. The pandemic just accelerated the process. Digital models are fascinating.
If in the physical model, we talk to seven thousand professionals, now we have the chance to expand
this to 10 thousand visitors.
Check out a little of what was presented in projects and releases:
RELEASES - PRODUCTS
There were hundreds of releases aimed
at sustainability, design and innovation. All can be seen until September 30 on
the platform https://inspiramaisdigital.com.br
BASF presented, in partnership with Tecpol and Additiva 3D, the new flip flop
project in polyurethane and TPU 3D printing. The model proposed by the company
consists of PU (polyurethane) - a material rarely used in this type of footwear
and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) made using 3D printing, an innovation in
the footwear market. The proposal of the flip flops in men´s and women´s
versions allows greater flexibility for design and comfort.
Colorgraf brings the Organic concept to the textile line and presents Colorflex
Print, and Slide Uppers for the footwear
line. The Tie-Dye trend was chosen to develop the print. Another release:

trend, the Botany theme presents products that represent this proposal:

line and Seed Paper Label for the textile and footwear line.
Developed in record time, during the novel coronavirus pandemic, Rhodia
presented its antiviral and antibacterial technology in the Amni® Virus-Bac OFF
polyamide yarn. The yarn offers protection against bacteria and viruses,
including enveloped viruses, as viruses are classified as influenza,
herpesvirus, novel coronavirus and others. Rhodia's exclusive technology is
able to inactivate viruses and eliminate bacteria present on a textile surface,
preventing cross-contamination between textile items and users.
Pégasus Bordados Eletrônicos, a company from Igrejinha, in Vale do Paranhana,
Rio Grande do Sul, received support from SEBRAE and consultancy from Instituto
By Brasil, and a company team was created with sustainable design consultants
Julia Webber and Laura Madalosso. From this partnership, developments emerge
that propose new dialogues between handicraft initiatives and the industrial
structure of Pegasus - in the search for new alternatives, the current gaze
turns towards ancient dyeing techniques through natural inputs such as fruit
peels, herbs and seeds - and combined with technology expertise, providing a
durable and resistant process - utilizing local plants and the ethical
cultivation of nature, in addition to appreciation of the artisan.
The company Suntex Brasil also presented its release developed in
partnership with TNS Nanotecnologia: a synthetic laminate capable of
inactivating several types of enveloped bacteria and viruses, including
Sars-Cov-2. Through the action of nanoparticles that deactivate the lipid layer
of viruses, it is possible to deactivate the microorganism after 30 seconds of
contact with the additive. The offered solution decreases the chances of cross
contamination by 99.99% and can be proven
through reports.
Companhia Têxtil de Castanhal - the largest manufacturer of jute products in
the Americas - highlighted the products of natural yarns and fabrics with
natural dyes, 100% jute. In partnership with the design, Luciano Pinheiro
developed products with pigments, weaves and natural inputs of high handicraft
refinement aimed at fashion accessories, clothing and decoration, with natural
jute dye using onion, barbatimão [stryphnodendron
adstringens], Brazilian peppertree, hibiscus, peels and leaves, in addition to
creating a sustainable line of insoles in different colors.
The Flowerpunchers presented, in its concept that respects
ancestral wisdom - a new perspective and a new way of making that goes beyond sustainable handmade items by using
environmentally friendly raw materials. With pieces that respect the seasons of
nature and flowers, herbs and plants harvested in a delicate way, almost like
pruning, asking for nature´s permission. Prints made with flowers, herbs and
plants including some fresh and naturally fallen in the garden of one of the
co-founders. Among the Brazilian stones used in the manual process, Amethyst,
Rose Quartz and Green Quartz stand out. In addition, the waste is processed
into other products such as candles and incense. The stones used in the
printing process are also transformed into unique pieces, full of energy.
